Cambridgeshire rapper BiG HEATH releases single ‘Too BiG’ and following the success of his debut September headline tour, announces his next in April 2020
Tapping acclaimed producer Diztortion (Lethal Bizzle, Tinie Tempah, Avelino) for his latest effort, “Too BiG” brings laid back, hip-hop production to match BiG Heath’s playful delivery and undeniable charisma.
An undoubtedly refreshing take on the current scene, he delivers with punchlines aplenty and a memorable hook. Coming with a video that brings nothing but heat, it’s another infectious single from an act who is posing to be a real breakthrough name in 2019.
Hailing from the quiet Cambridge suburbs, BiG HEATH is not only comfortable with being different, he embraces it, delivering rhymes that go against the status quo of the UK rap scene. His realness and sensitivity are clear to see within the introspective lyrical content, tackling vulnerability with surprising candour.
Having first started rapping at the age of 10 – after discovering it helped overcome his stutter – BiG HEATH got his first break in 2017 when he was booked for notable support slots with Nas and Freddie Gibbs. It was his live performance at Nas’ show in Liverpool that caught the attention of DJ Semtex, and by 2018 critics earmarked him as the “next one up”, praising him for showcasing a different side to the UK Rap.
Having made serious waves with his debut release ‘Lonely’ EP which saw the likes of BBC 1XTtra, Radio 1, Link Up and GRM put their weight behind him, 2018 also saw BiG HEATH open the main stage at Wireless, perform on the Radio 1Xtra stage at Reading & Leeds Festival, ink a deal with the second biggest Major Label Polydor Records, and hunker down in the studio with Show N Prove (J Hus, Stefflon Don, Giggs), Ishi (Usher, Ne-Yo, Wretch 32), Abaz (Tory Lanez, T-Pain, Gucci
BiG HEATH has been consistently going from strength to strength and there are no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
